Event Details

The Rotary Club of Reno, New Generations is the Reno area’s newest Rotary club!  Chartered in November 2009, New Generations is made up primarily of professionals in their 20s and 30s.  It is only the second Rotary club of its kind in the U.S.  And like all Rotary clubs, New Generations strives to contribute by supporting a number of worthy causes, including Rotary International’s worldwide campaign to eradicate polio.

Right now, New Generations is making plans for its biggest fundraiser and invites you to help us make a difference.  On July 22, 2010, we will hold a Joey Gilbert Roast Fundraiser at the Eldorado Hotel and Casino from 6:30 to 9pm. The event will feature Joey Gilbert, professional boxer and attorney, being “roasted” by area personalities like popular radio show host Panama. You’ve never seen a fighter take a beating like this!

Here’s the best part.  We’re teaming up with Kerak Shrine here in Reno to share the net proceeds to benefit our organizations.  Kerak Shrine will Donate their share to the Shrine Hospitals Emergency Transportation Fund for Burned Patients to help cover the costs of transporting burned children to some of the best treatment facilities in the world.  I’m sure you’ll agree that both Shriners and Rotary are worthy of all our support.
